Our outage management system currently indicates that 5,100 plus members are without power. We’ve identified at least 50 broken poles that we’ve been able to access. Our hardest hit areas are Cassville and Exeter. We are grateful to the neighboring co-ops who have generously provided mutual aid, and for our contractors who are actively assisting with recovery.
This storm ranks among the worst we’ve experienced in years. Our primary challenge lies in clearing large trees that block access to power lines requiring repair. Additionally, numerous broken poles must be replaced.
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
Power-line Safety: PLEASE CONTINUE TO USE CAUTION AROUND DOWNED POWER LINES.
24/7 Emergency Assistance: Our phone lines remain open around the clock for emergencies, and our mobile app and customer portal allows you to report outages instantly.
Social Media Monitoring: We are monitoring social media, although we may not be able to respond to each individual message. When sending us a message on Facebook, please include the name and address associated with your account, along with a brief explanation of the emergency. This will help us assist you more effectively.
Emergency Reporting: Please reserve phone lines and social media channels for emergency reporting only.
Restoration Time-frames: Given the scale of the outage, we cannot provide individual restoration time-frames. The worst-case scenario could extend outages out seven to ten days for some. For updates, refer to our website and Facebook page.
Fiber Outages: Currently, we are prioritizing electric outages over fiber outages.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this critical recovery period. Rest assured, our dedicated team is working tirelessly to restore power as swiftly and safely as possible.
