This morning, we are down to 2,554 outages. We completed the last three-phase pole change in the late hours last night. We also had tree trimming crews working hard in and around Cassville yesterday helping to clear trees so that linemen can get into those areas over the coming days. We appreciate their efforts to help our crews and members!
We want to continue to caution members to stay away from downed power and fiber lines. Our linemen never trust a down line to be un-energized, and you should not either. Safety is our utmost priority. Trees on fiber lines pose a threat as well, as the fiber does not break as easily. This creates a situation where the tree puts a tremendous amount of stress on the fiber. Please allow our crews to remove the trees that are on or around electric and fiber lines. Improper tree removal is a risk that we don’t want our members to take.
