Dear Members,
As concerns and fears about the COVID-19 (coronavirus) grow, we want to assure you that Barry Electric Cooperative is taking steps to help protect the wellbeing of our members and employees. We are receiving daily updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and monitoring guidance from local, state, and federal authorities.
Your BEC Office
At this time, all BEC offices are open and operating during normal business hours.
We are disinfecting high-touch surfaces and common areas throughout the day.
We are encouraging employees to follow the CDC hygiene recommendation.
If you are used to a friendly handshake from our staff, you might notice more limited physical contact when visiting our offices. Please know that it is because of concern for your wellbeing as well as our employees.
We appreciate your understanding that your experience in our offices might look and feel a little different as we work together to protect the health of our communities.
We have temporarily suspended late fees and disconnects for non-payment for any member directly impacted.
What you can do
We ask that you do not use our walk-in services if you are sick and have a fever or cough.
If you prefer not to visit one of the BEC office during this time, you can use one of our many other options to manage your accounts.
BEC provides online website access and mobile apps to help you take care of your accounts from anywhere. You can check balances, make payments, view usage, and more without physically visiting one of our offices at www.barryelectric.com. We also offer automated phone services by calling 855-973-0809.
You can also use our out-door drop box located in the parking lot outside of our office.
You can use PaySite Kiosks located at the Fastrips and Harps.
For any account questions or concerns, call us at 417-847-2131.
Visit the CDC for the latest recommendations on preventing illness.
We’ll keep you updated. Remember, we are all in this together!
